This is our election to win and to take back our Council

This election we will have the greatest opportunity to ensure our Council is transformed and is for residents and not against us.

We need a new Council which will take full advantage of the opportunities for growth and development but at the same time protect and enhance our lifestyles.

We can have a Council that we can all be proud of.

I’ve been asked how I will be funding my campaign over the next year and how can contributions be made.

I encourage you and invite you to get involved in any way that you can.

This will be our campaign to take back our Council.

If you want to make a donation to contribute then that’s the cause you will be supporting.

One thing you can be certain of is that your donations will ensure that our democracy is once again powered by residents and ratepayers and not by developers and niche special interests.

Your donation whether its $5, $10, $25 or more will make our campaign truly viable.

When the bad old days of this Council end after the next election things will be better for all of us.

Thank you

As a participant in a Queensland local government election, I am required to give a disclosure return to the Electoral Commission of Queensland (ECQ) if I receive a gift or loan valued at $500 or more. I am required to give these returns within 7 business days of the receipt, or within 24 hours if I receive the gift/loan within 7 business days before election day. These returns are available for public viewing on the ECQ’s website, and will include all relevant details about the gift, including (but not limited to) your name and address. This is required by the Local Government Electoral Act 2011. Please visit www.ecq.qld.gov.au if you require further information about my obligations as an electoral participant.

Notice to Prohibited Donor

Queensland law bans political donations from property developers and industry bodies which have property developers as the majority of their members.

It’s illegal to make a prohibited donation. It’s also against the law to ask for someone to make a donation on behalf of a prohibited donor.
